It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and colleague, IECnet Chairman Mr. Vincent Domon, who left suddenly and unexpectedly.
Vincent’s professional career began some 35 years ago at Cecaudit International, the firm where Mr. Hervé Abouly, one of the three founders of IECnet, was the main partner. This also explains why IECnet’s registered office is located in Champs-sur-Marne.
As a young accountant, Vincent developed professionally there and soon took on a leading role within the firm. He was not only an accountant and tax advisor, but also an auditor and a teacher of accountancy and tax matters. Even at that stage of his career, he was recognised as a colleague of international calibre. He spoke three languages fluently, possessed exceptional professional expertise and continuously contributed new ideas and initiatives.
Over the years, Vincent’s professional responsibilities and international commitments expanded considerably, and his partnership at Cecaudit International could no longer accommodate the full scope of his work. He therefore decided to join Endrix, bringing with him his extensive professional network, including his connections within IECnet.
Vincent first joined the IECnet Board in 2007 as Treasurer and soon became Chairman, serving in this position until 2014. He was re-elected to the Board in 2020 and had served as Chairman ever since.
He led IECnet with great foresight, dedication and a constant stream of new ideas. He was always open to different perspectives and understood how to bring people from various countries and cultures together. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to IECnet, he was named an Honorary Member.
Vincent was an exceptionally warm-hearted, intelligent, and inspiring person. His international outlook, openness and genuine interest in people shaped every encounter with him. He travelled extensively on behalf of IECnet and strongly believed that international exchange enriches both professional and personal development. He once said that IECnet was “his oxygen.”
Vincent’s passing is a great loss for his family, his friends, and the entire IECnet community. We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones and to all colleagues who had the privilege of working with him.
On behalf of the entire IECnet network, we honor Vincent Domon’s memory. His leadership, his vision and his contribution to IECnet will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his sons and his family.
May he rest in peace.
